Affstrat Water Works is passionate about water. Water is essential for life and our goal is make sure that humans have access to clean drinkable water. With climate change coming more, watersources drying up. The waterpurificationsystem called the Aqualoop is essential for areas with lack of clean drinkable water.
Aqualoop - how does it work?
The Aqualoopis an innovative water purification solution designed to address the challenges of providing clean drinking water in areas with limited or no access to it. It is ideal for use in rural or off-grid environments, offering a combination of durability, efficiency, and ease of maintenance.
Key features include its low-maintenance design, eliminating the need for components like active coal or replaceable filters, which reduces ongoing costs significantly. The Aqualoop operates most efficiently when heat is applied—either from a stove or an open fire—but it can also function when exposed to sunlight, making it a versatile solution.
The purification process is quick and effective, delivering clean drinking water in 15 to 25 minuteswhen heat is applied, and within several hours when using only sunlight, depending on weather conditions. Its reusabilityallows the process to be repeated as often as needed, ensuring continuous access to safe water.

Aqualoop - Technical and practical questions
1. How long does the Aqualoop last?
The Aqualoop is designed for low maintenace and high durability. It can be reused several times a day without cleaning, but we recommend cleaning it at least once a day.
2. What kind and which levels of pollution does it treat?
The Aqualoop treats all kinds of pollution, such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, and misscolorisation, to non-biological impurities such as sand, small stones or any other particules.
3. What maintenace does it require?
It needs to be cleaned from time to time. We recommend to clean it everyday at least once. A sealing ring might need to be replaced if necessary. If properly maintained the sealing ring does not need to be replaced for at least 5-7 years. The sealing ring is approved for food and water.
4. How much water can it hold and purify?
The Aqualoop can hold up to 1,25 litre of water.
5. How long does it take to purify the water?
It depends on the kind of heatsource that is being used. On a stove it can take up to 30 minutes to clean 1 litre of water, likewise can it take up to 45 minutes over open fire or up to 6 hours if the Aqualooop is heated by the sun.
5. Who can use it?
Anyone who needs clean drinkable and has access to a stove, open fire or people who live off- grid in rural areas with no access to infrastructure.
